Rideshare websites?

Can anyone recommend rideshare websites for long distance travel? Google mostly turns up local car pooling pages, and this, which I found a bit clunky. I'm aware of craigslist of course, but thought there might be something better out there.

From where to where?

Craigslist might be your best bet, sadly.

If you live in a major city, your local public transit authority might have set up a program for ridesharing. For example, seattle has ride share online, which helps people find carpool rides as well as ride shares to nearby events.
