Book recommendation for a first time home buyer in Canada

Can anyone suggest a good book for a first time home buyer in Canada? My wife and I are hoping to purchase our first home in the coming months and we're a bit intimidated at the process. I've seen similar questions before, but the books seemed to be directed at people located in America and I don't know if those would be as applicable or not.

I found this helpful. I would not read anything on the process that is based on the American process. It is different.

You know what, when we bought our first house (in Toronto) friends recommended a For Dummies title, and it was actually quite good. It's Canadian specific, and I remember it being the right balance of basic stuff and also more in depth. What was probably most useful was the worksheets which helped facilitate discussions and help get my wife and me very clear on what was important to us and what was within our budget.

I used the same Dummies book as recommended above and found it helpful and reassuring.

I still maintain however, that instead of Buying and Selling a Home For Canadians For Dummies it should have been titled Buying and Selling a Home for Canadian Dummies.
