Anyone tried a Simmons Springville or Slumberland Tempsmart mattress?

We need help choosing a mattress to buy, its between a Simmons Springville and a Slumberland Tempsmart II 3600. Difficulty level: we are in the Philippines and options are limited.

So we've looked around the various shopping malls and outlets around here (Greenbelt, Shangri-la Plaza in Ortigas, some mattress specialists in QC if you know the area), and we've liked the Simmons Springville, and the Slumberland Tempsmart II 3600.

From googling, Simmons has a bit of a bad reputation for sagging. Checking the comments here is a scary thing indeed. But is this just a few negative reviews? There are many positive reviews of a similar mattress here for example.

The Slumberland Tempsmart, I can't really find any reviews on it at all.

I have read themattressunderground, and its advice on buying, however the "local" mattresses aren't really what we are looking for (we did try a LOT).

Mattresses are typically given different names in different locations to make comparisons shopping impossible. Consider buying a memory foam mattress online.

Best answer: Forget the name Springville. if you have read the Mattress Underground you know the same mattress can have a hundred names. Your real question should be: has anyone tried a Simmons Beautyrest luxury firm pillowtop mattress with a spring core? Many people could likely answer that. When you search online for reviews, use those terms (Simmons luxury firm pillowtop) instead of Springville. If you want to attempt to comparison shop, you need the specs for the depth of each layer of the mattress and what it is made of to compare when you find other Simmons luxury firm pillowtops. If you aren't super picky, buying a mattress from the same manufacturer with a similar composition of materials online will likely save you money.

Response by poster: Yeah I was aware of the mattress naming "schemes", however sometimes even the "Simmons Beautyrest" actually has a different name, depending on target market and I spent hours researching and falling into the whirlpool of mattress marketing names - so decided to be specific in my question which was a mistake.

Have tried to find the specs for the specific mattresses we are after but it seems they are deliberately hard to find, and the salespeople know nothing. Online shopping is not a thing here, and Amazon etc by and large don't deliver to the Philippines, or if they do, with a massive markup and I also have to pay customs fees and also special delivery "fees".

I think we'll just go with the one that feels the best in the shops around here.
