Looking for Failed Rescue Video

Trying to locate video of "funny" rescue (car-truck-crane) on pier... truck tries to save car, but truck falls into water; crane comes to save truck, but crane falls into water... each new rescuer falls into the water trying to save the earlier one.

Best answer: I don't think it was a video.. just a series of pictures...

the last one (second crane falling in) was photoshopped, as I recall.

on preview, starman's Snopes links has it.

Also, since it appears you created a MeFi account and waited a whole week just to ask this question, here's a tip: a Google search for [rescue car truck crane water] (for example) returns the photos, the story, and a link to Snopes as the first result.

but you have to admit, Forensic Genealogy Book Contest does not sound like it would contain the photos, the story, and a link to Snopes. :)

Response by poster: Indeed I did create an account and wait a week just to ask this question. Some fairly diligent searching did not come back with anything helpful for some reason, and it's something I needed to find... so sue me :)
