What online game was this?

Haven't been able to find it on google due to terminology ignorance, and have relentlessly searched the JayisGames archive with no result. Turn-based browser combat game with a clicky mechanism I do not know the name of, somewhat generic supernatural theme, detective-like protagonist.

- turn based combat, which used a horizontal bar with a marker that went back and forth at various speeds; you had to click when the marker was between two points to make a successful attack. Sometimes you had to click twice or three times between various points, depending on each character's style of attack. Miss and the attack misses.
- not much animation, more portraits of character party members, and maybe some swirly effects on the picture of the monster enemies
- protagonist is a trenchcoat-wearing detective type who uses a handgun
- the first enemy was a raven or crow that attacks outside of his client's house
- the client is a girl who asks him to look for her father/uncle/grandfather
- the detective then gets on a train to go to a town of some sort, and faces some wolf/dog monster (?) enemies on the train
- when he arrives at the town he finds it's overrun with similar monsters (zombies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts) and the remaining townspeople are like "please do something"
- he picks up some party members as he goes along a fixed route through the town with fixed enemy encounters
- eventually they have to go through a spooky portal or something
- you got new abilities and/or some stats increase whenever you leveled up

Pretty sure I remember seeing this on Kongregate. Look for relevant tags there (e.g., "detective").

May have been Bela Kovacs and the Trail of Blood. On my phone so I can't confirm.

Response by poster: That's not it, unfortunately. Though it's also a good game!

Response by poster: Oh my gosh, thank you! Dang, I wasn't as relentless as I thought.
