Halloween costume for a female with very short blonde hair
October 30, 2014 6:27 AM

I am a female with short dark blonde hair. It suddenly occurs to me that I need a Halloween costume, but I hate wearing wigs and I'm not going to color my hair. What can I dress up as that makes use of this hairstyle? We've already got Claire Underwood, Switch from The Matrix, Twiggy, and Patricia from the movie Breathless on the list--so we don't need those.

My husband is possibly going as Thor, and we'd be down with a couples superhero costume if anyone has any ideas.

I know you have blonde hair, but could you pull off going as Toni Stark, i.e. rule 63 Tony Stark or maybe pencil on his iconic beard and mustache and go as Toni Stark?

Calvin? Your husband could be Hobbes.

A number of depictions of the recently-anointed movie-starring superhero Captain Marvel show her with short blonde hair.

I was listening to NPR this morning and a little girl said she was dressed as Terry Gross for Halloween.

How about Tintin, the Belgian cartoon character--with or without dog Snowy. Here he is in raincoat. Two hundred million copies of the Tintin books in print. Whether or not Tintin would work as a partner with Thor situation, hard to say.

Lena Dunham?

You could also go as Lady Thor, or just gender-bent Thor. If you're into the idea of a Marvel costume but Captain Marvel isn't up your alley.

Aaaaand I just read your below the fold. So probably not gender-bent Thor.

What about Captain America?

You should also go as Thor.
