Chicago Mefites: 15 Year Old Chicken Mystery

Please help me remember the name of this Chicago counter-service restaurant based on my sketchy details! The last time I ate there was 15 years ago... The menu was focused around organic rotisserie chicken, and I remember it being so much more flavorful and fresh than Boston Market.

I remember it being in a mall food court, maybe near the water tower? It was designed to look like a farmer's market/Whole Foods prepared foods section. Either the name of the restaurant or the name of what I used to order had something to do with "baby" I think. Oh! and I half remember they used to pack meals in "munchkin" style boxes. Metafilter, what was that restaurant?

It sounds like it is/was part of Foodlife, the food court at Water Tower Place. Perhaps the folks there might help you narrow down which mini-restaurant it was?

If you can't find it--I live in Chicago and have zero idea what you're referring to--perhaps you could settle for Celeste at 111 W Hubbard?

I'm thinking of a few places.... First, I thought of the basement of the Bergoff. The main floor is a fancy place but the basement was a really informal cafe. Then I thought about the Marshall Field's food court thing in the basement. And then I thought about the cafeteria in the basement of the Bank of America building. I think of the BofA cafe is the most likely....

And now I'm sad and I want brats and strong mustard from Bergoff. Maybe I need to visit....

Response by poster: It's also possible I am conflating memories of Foodlife with the chicken place because that definitely sounds like part of the memory... Thanks DrGail! I'm pretty sure there were multiple locations in the city, so I don't know if that jibes with being IN Foodlife or any of the store cafeterias. I have a side obsession with old timey store cafes so I will probably check all of these out anyway!
