What was that fabric?

So, I went on a business trip and my well-loved Burberry black trench raincoat, which I bought new at a department store 5 or 6 years ago, was stolen. I would really like to replace it. The catch is that I can't figure out just what the fabric was. It was soft to the touch, almost silky, with a lustrous shine (not the high shine of a sateen), and water resistant. It definitely was not the classic Burberry cotton gabardine, which is much rougher to the touch. I failed at figuring this out via Google. Can the hive mind help?

Best answer: Burberry actually do a silk trench coat and the fabric does look quite lustrously shiny, maybe it was actually silk!

Best answer: If it's not silk, I bet it was a kind of poly microfiber, there are some really high end microfibers in clothing & furniture now.
