World War I documentaries

I was hoping to get recommendations for World War I documentaries.

I've tries 'World War I The Great War' from the history channel but did not find it very engaging. I have seen the excellent '37 Days' from the BBC and enjoyed it but am not looking for a dramatization. Something which covers the politics/personalities as well as the significant battles and strategies.
Also worth mentioning, I really enjoy British World War II documentary 'The World At War'. So a similar treatment os WWI would be appreciated.

Response by poster: ugh, sorry for the 'tries' typo, and mis-categorization.

You want the BBC's World War 1, The Great War.

It's from the sixties and it's on You Tube.

Oh, sorry, see that this didn't do it for you.

If you can do a podcast (or in this case a series of podcasts) Dan Carlin in Hardcore History has done the last 4 or so episodes (each several hours long) on WW1. I think they are great.

Response by poster: Ruthless Bunny - Actually that appears to be different from the History Channel series I cited, so I will try it.
H. Roark - I love Dan Carlin's Hardcore History but fell behind for a bit, I'll try to get those episodes.

I recommend the BBC's miniseries whenever this question pops up. It's 17 hours long and is a amazing piece of work. Michael Redgrave's solemn narration can get a little nappy at times, but really, it's the place to go.

The BBC series was really one of the first history programs of its kind. If you enjoyed The World At War, you will probably enjoy it as well. I can't think of anything better, though I have been enjoying the Imperial War Museum's podcasts about the war.

Check out these podcasts from The Imperial War Museum that are short oral histories from people who lived through the war - soldiers & civilians. It's mostly from a British perspective but there are some other voices as well.
