Stew would be funny but...

What should we name our new bunny?

She's a girl, and she's going to be really big when she grows up, and she is mellow.

And she's cute.

Since you mentioned Stew, how about Hasenpfeffer? It means rabbit stew in German.

Buttercup or Mr Lewis. These are names of a couple of great danes in a David Sedaris story.

First thought upon seeing her was Esther. Or Binkie (which is what bunns do when they're super happy!)

Two other ideas:

Hyacinth
Laurel

(Also, I should maybe add regarding my answer above that I know that Hazel was a male rabbit in the Watership Down, but I think it's a nice name for a female rabbit.)

There are always the cliched names like Flopsy, Fluffy, Clover, Cottontail, etc. I've seen Watership Down suggestions, but that always seems a bit depressing to me. For our first bunny, who was white, I went through a bunch of color related names to find something I liked. Second bunny, I sorted through names related to my favorite musicians. Third bunny was horror movie monsters, and our last binkying beast was named after several characters on Due South.

I find alliteration in pet names pleasing, so I would probably give your bunny two or three names. Bunster Brown, for example. I also like titles like Sir Fuzzybeast, Esq. or Queen Biteypants. Names with non-English pronouns and prefixes could be fun, les/la/el/von/van and so on. There was a great bunny on Disapproving Rabbits once named Mango von Hoppelfurt whose name I've never forgotten. If you like Monty Python, there are tons of possible names, like Mrs. Zambesi.

Other suggestions:

Quinn
Stella
Juniper
Cocoa/Coco
El Chupacabra
I do like Hazel, but related more to her color than WD
Paprika
Stevie
Betsy Bunningham
Sienna
Tuesday
Margaret/Maggie
Frank/Frankincense/Frankenberry
Amber
Moira

I could probably go on forever, so I'll stop there for now.

That looks a lot like a Flemish Giant, so maybe there's something here.

My first bun was black and was called Slipper. (Her partner was George ("I'm gonna hug him and squeeze him and call him George")). If we'd waited a while to name her she probably would have been called Brunhilda, which fitted her personality so much better. So you could just wait for a name to emerge. Pickle's name took about a week to just happen.

We have one in that colour called Lillie (short for Lilliputian, also the second half of Pickle 'n Lillie). I suggest blowing gently on the fur and taking a really close look at the colours. There's going to be dozens of different shades in there, and you might find something that inspires (eg Lillie has blonde feet and a red saddle behind her ears).
