Google Apps for non-profits where non-prof is US but users are in UK?

I'm trying to work out if I can set google apps for non-profits up if the organisation is a US non-profit but the particular users that would use google apps are a chapter based in the UK? I don't believe we hold non-profit status in the UK, probably because we're a chapter of a parent US organisation rather than anything stand-alone.

Ideally, we would link it to our domain, replacing the very ancient webmail provided by our host. The board of the chapter is very keen that we have google apps so one of my tasks (as out going IT wizard/most technically adept board member) is to look into this. I feel like I've read every FAQ in the apps for non-profit but I think I've hit a brick wall.

Our parent organisation has full-time staff so as far as I know, uses exchange etc. The chapters are all volunteer based.

If it's no, then it's no and they will just have to live with the old webmail software but it would be so very useful if we could use the app suite.

As far as I know, it wouldn't be a problem. It's easy to set up, so why not just give it a try and see if you run into any snags? The board members in the UK just need to log in to Gmail the way they normally would using their BoardMember@yournonprofit.com address.

Source: I am a board member of a nonprofit based in sub-Saharan Africa, that uses Google Apps for nonprofits, with board members in the USA, Africa, and Australia.
