Hip hop song in a movie

In the movie Presumed Innocent, around 1:29:00, there's a song played in the background. What is it?

The lyrics that I could make out:

crazy variations, poetic athletic on the way to the station
tangled up in a knot from the style of hip hop
from the power of speech I can reach
? the lyricist, is somewhat agile

Was it written specifically for the film? Who was the performer, if so?

All of the music in the film will be credited at the end, and the credits will be ordered in the order the music/songs appear in the film -- so if you have the DVD or streaming version watch those credits and see if you can figure it out by the process of elimination.
