Help me pull texts off of an Iphone 5....

I need the best way to save about a year's worth of texts on an iphone 5 to my PC, for use elsewhere...
The reason isn't really germane but I HAVE to be sure to save about a year's worth of texts from a certain person from an iphone 5 before I get my iphone 6. This is very important. Is there a best app? Money isn't an issue..... If there is a "computer" way (on PC) that will insure that I can save them, please explain like I am 5. I have to save these. Maybe even in a few places.... How have you done this? Thank you..

When I had some precious text message chains to save from an iPhone 4 before making the switch to 5, I used DiskAid, which has apparently been re-dubbed Imazing and made a lot fancier and hopefully not more restrictive. But it allowed me to save as simple text files all of my life-altering text message conversations. I didn't lose them in the switch regardless, but it was totally worth whatever DiskAid cost (which wasn't a memorable amount) to have them backed up.

Maybe not the best way, but if nothing else you can take a screen capture by pressing the home and power buttons. Then you can export the photos when you sync the phone.
After that, there's a ton of cheap-as-free OCR software.

^Yes, I have used iExplorer to do exactly this. Works beautifully. I exported my messages as a PDF but I think text files are an option as well.

Here's a $20 program for Windows that transfers everything from the iPhone: Syncios

I actually work on a program that does this also, Decipher TextMessage. There are a handful of 3rd party tools to read the text-message data from the device or from the backups. There's a link from the page I referenced to our contact page, so if anyone has any questions, you can send me a message here, or contact me through the support page on our site.
