[How] Can I bet on Premier League games online while residing in the US?

Tottenham face arch rival Arsenal next week and I'd like to demonstrate my support with some cold, hard cash. Can I legally bet on games here in the US? (Can't get to NV or NJ so going to a sports book is not possible.) COYS!

You can bet on the internet, there are tons of offshore sports books.

Can you put together a pool in your office? More of us are getting the Premier League on cable now, and even if we're married, we love accents, so you could put together a pool, and we'd probably participate because we'd have a reason to talk to you.

A lot of pubs/bars take action behind the counter. Not legal, but good enough for the occasional flutter, and probably only if you're a regular.

Response by poster: Ha! Which of the offshore sports books are the most reputable? I used to used Bodog, before the crackdown six (seven?) years ago.

All the ones that actually sponsor Premier league clubs are good.

Response by poster: But they are all UK-based, no? I need to find one here in the US. (Or offshore,)

You can usually open an account anyway, but you have to send a paper check, because no US credit card will allow the transaction.

Try looking for bookmakers in Las Vegas, although to be fair your best bets will be who will score and when as Tottenham is in real trouble considering their financial position. Personally, one can hedge their bets that unless an American owner is not willing to live or die over media money, they will never win the league.

Response by poster: Of course Spurs won't win the league this year, but we will beat Arsenal next week.

Hahaha oh god no we won't. The (recent) historical record, Spurs at Arsenal:

2013-14 ARS 1-0 TOT (Emirates)
2012-13 ARS 5-2 TOT (Emirates)
2011-12 ARS 5-2 TOT (Emirates)
2010-11 ARS 2-3 TOT (Emirates)
2009-10 ARS 3-0 TOT (Emirates)
2008-09 ARS 4-4 TOT (Emirates)
2007-08 ARS 2-1 TOT (Emirates)
2006-07 ARS 3-0 TOT (Emirates)
2005-06 ARS 1-1 TOT (Emirates)
2004-05 ARS 1-0 TOT (Highbury)
2003-04 ARS 2-1 TOT (Highbury)
2002-03 ARS 3-0 TOT (Highbury)
etc.

The previous decade is no better, with the only other Spurs Premier League win at Arse occurring in 1993. Put your money on the Goons to win. If the unthinkable happens consider yourself responsible for buying the Spurs victory.

Of course I would've bet the house that Liverpool would beat Hammers this afternoon, so usual caveats apply.

Response by poster: The past is ugly for sure, but Arsenal is beatable next week. League Cup game vs. Southampton on Tuesday. Spurs play Forest on Wednesday. I like our chances. (Even if we fail to TCB against West Brom today.)

Response by poster: Has anyone tried using Bovada in the US?
