Can I eat it filter: Cooked vegetarian quiche left out

I accidentally forgot to put the quiche in the fridge after lunch and discovered it when I came back home. It was left out for about 5 hours, probably at around 70 degrees. I am getting differing opinions from my internet search. Should I toss it?

Does it smell bad? if not, eat it. If it smells bad, run far far away.

I have eaten quiche under those conditions. No issues. Your quiche may vary.

I'd eat it. Quiche is good picnic food.

I've eaten things with a far more wavering freshness after way longer than five hours and at temperatures greater than 70 degrees, and I'm still here. You're fine. Enjoy.

If there is any runny egg I would toss it but assuming it was fully cooked through then yeah, edible.

I imagine the official recommendation would be to toss it, but I would 100% hang onto and eat that quiche.

I have definitely had long brunches with quiche as a dish, where by the time all was said and done it sat out for that long. I ate it as leftovers without blinking or thinking twice.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone, I was leaning towards eating it and then found a lot of alarmist posts about quiche online! I feel better about it now.

This is basically every school lunch ever before the era of insulated lunch bags.
