Baccarat and money laundering

Why is baccarat more conducive to money laundering than other casino games? Or is it just that it was already the most popular game in places (e.g. Macau) where there's already a lot of money laundering going on?
Best answer: I think JPD has it. The other factor is that baccarat requires no skill at all to play optimal strategy. Getting the same expected loss in blackjack requires a lot more talent.

And getting similar results in craps (pass line with odds) requires a lot more time.
Baccarat's a fast game, especially the mini- and midi- variants preferred in Macau, where the dealer turns over all cards. A hand can be completed in 60 seconds: bish, bosh, done.

Well it depends what you define as skill. There is an optimal strategy for Chemin de Fer as well that is quite simple, but it does require memorizing a simple set of rules. But the biggest difference is that the game is banked by another player who also has to make optimal decisions.
Macao and Vegas are all Punto Banco.
I'd guess that you can consistently wager more if the house is the bank? Not really sure. The aggregate odds are about the same, but there is more variability.

Money laundering isn't cheap, so the loss rate on a lot of high stakes baccarat is a good deal.
