Do we know anything about the gentleman in this D-Day photo?

I'm wondering if there is any information about this (British?) solider.

Here's the photo--it's the man in the foreground: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qda2pmk4zxu8904/Screenshot%202014-08-25%2013.35.28.png?dl=0

He seems a bit older than average, and while I was thinking about how much that particular situation would suck (does he have a wife and kids at home? etc.) I wondered if his name & story were recorded somewhere. Thanks.

I had a theory worked up that it was Lt-Col James Moulton but zamboni seems to have it.
