I have a desktop wallpaper from National Geographic with a filename of NGM1994_09p3-4.jpg. What is the subject of the photo?
Clues: I know I got it from their photo of the day page, but it was a year or two ago. The filename looks like a specific page reference to the physical magazine, which would work if I had access to back issues.

Best answer: Found it. It is a picture of Ireland. Here is the caption:
"KINDRED HEADLANDS called the Three Sisters look to sea near Smerwick on the Dingle Peninsula. For the ambitious, country lanes lead past sheep paddocks to cities already bursting with job seekers"

Google searches were coming up with mostly 3rd party clone/bootleg versions, so I went to Nat Geo and just paged through their wallpapers under the Landscapes section. Took about 2 minutes.

Response by poster: Smart! I saw the archives but they didn't seem useful since you can't search through them. I figured I had to click back through the days 1000 times to manually search.
