Windows Bluetooth HotSync problem

I've been using Bluetooth to HotSync my Palm Zire 72 with my Windows XP machine. Then I was "upgraded" to SP2, now HotSync times out everytime. Am I simply SOL?

Previously I had SP1 and there was no problem at all. It also continues to HotSync without problems on my Mac at home (10.3), so I don't think it's a hardware problem. I'm using WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software 4.0.1.700. I can transfer files with no issue, it's just the HotSync that fails

This is a longshot, but I once had strange hotsync issues when the required background HotSync application would not start properly on boot even in the Startup folder. I had to run it manually before syncing... so you might try that.
