Problems with distance learning site

Java Problems: The distance learning course I'm taking is broken.

When I take the tests, I click on the link and another window (in IE) opens up. The test used to be in it. Now it's blank. In Firefox, a few new tabs show up, plus one window, still blank. I guess it's my computer, but have no clue what. I'm running XP SP2, etc., etc.
What can I do?

Hmmm... Is there a java error message on the bottom of ie? It would be yellow, iirc (using firefox these days). Also maybe reinstall java? That would be the first thing I try because you say it isn't working in ie or firefox.

Response by poster: No, no java error message. I just reinstalled Java...I get nothing. Thanks for looking, though.

You need to call their tech-support people.

Also, in IE, add the site to your "Trusted sites".

Response by poster: Thanks everybody. Just to follow up, I finally (finally!) got ahold of the tech support people. It turns out I'm not the only one with this problem. They sent me to another page as a workaround.

Really, this is worth a story in a decent paper: The Army has a million websites for different things, all apparently done by different contractors; some good, and some just crap.
