Anyone have info on Ramouz? Ramuz? W. G. Sebald writes of someone studying "Ramuz" in Rings of Saturn. I've found books by every other writer mentioned in R.O.S. but this one. Then today, I'm reading Raymond Carver, and he has a poem about a Hamid Ramouz, "soldier, scholar, desert explorer". . . I'm wondering if this is the same guy, and does anyone have info on him, as i can find none in my initial research. TIA, ScottR

Sebald was referring to C.F. Ramuz, the Swiss poet/author famous for writing A Soldier’s Tale.

The illustrator R.O. Blechman adapted the story into an animated film in 1984.
