Songs about starting to falling in love

I'm working on a mixtape and looking for songs about starting to fall in love with someone. It seems like most of the songs I have are either about starting to like someone or about someone you've already fallen in love with. I want songs for that in-between stage.

The recipient's tastes skew towards indie rock, folk, and pop punk. Favorite bands include Frightened Rabbit, The Weakerthans, Dirt Bike Annie, and The Mountain Goats. Lesser-known and downright obscure songs would be great.

Falling for you by colbie caillet. I kind of hate this song but it fits here. There are probably other colbie caillet songs that fit too.

The Ergs! (they featured Dirt Bike Annie's former drummer) have a few songs with this theme:
A Very Pretty Song For a Very Special Lady
Kind of Like Smitten

Other NY/NJ pop punk band (featuring the same drummer) have an album called Crush, Boyfriend, Heartache. The middle third (Boyfriend) is all songs in this vein. Particularly:
Doot da Doot
Today's the Day (I Finally Kissed You)
I Already Know

Big Star, Thirteen
Paul Weller, All I Wanna Do (Is Be with You)
The Hoodoo Gurus, Like Wow, Wipeout
Lightning Seeds, Pure (this might be into the "already in love" territory, but it always feels very new love to me)
Madness, It Must Be Love (also possibly just half a step too far into "already in love" territory, but to me it's about the moment of recognition of having fallen in love)

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but i always thought The Moon by The Microphones was a good description of the early stages of love.

Best answer: Yo La Tengo -- Our Way to Fall:
I remember a summer's day
I remember walking up to you
I remember my face turned red
And I remember staring at my feet

I remember before we met
I remember sitting next to you
And I remember pretending I wasn't looking

So try and try even if it lasts an hour
With all our might, try and make it ours
'Cause we're on our way
We're on our way to fall in love

The June Spirit's "The Ivy League" even has the line "I think I love you."

I'm also feeling "Never got the Girl" by the Queers

I came up with a list but the more I'm thinking about it the more I wonder how many are appropriate. The one that I'm sure of is:

The Name of the Game -- Abba

Ones that may be a little too early for you (i.e. like):

Rendezvous -- Tina Charles
When I Will I See You Again -- Three Degrees

The one that may be a little on the late side is:

Can't Fight This Feeling -- REO Speedwagon

"Jackie Wilson Said (I'm In Heaven When You Smile)" - Van Morrison
"This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" - Talking Heads (Lumineers cover, MGMT cover, Arcade Fire cover; all live, with varying degrees of success)
"Bloom" - The Paper Kites
