Has anyone ever heard of an old sandwhich spread named Coogle? Circa 1970's and came in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, I believe.

Best answer: Banana, not strawberry, I think. Here's a jar of Chocolate Koogle, along with its lid. [via]

And vanilla. Don't forget the vanilla.

I loved it. But, shit, I was five years old. I thought McDonald's Hamburgers were pretty nifty.

It was disgustingly good. It was full of hydrogenated oils, that is to say it was mostly Crisco with some flavoring, but back then hydrogenated oils were not good for you. (Note that the ingredient list on the lid says "partially hardened" rather than "partially hydrogenated," which was mandated later, but it's the same thing).

Er. "Back then hydrogenated oils were not bad for you."

If I recall correctly, the ad jingle went "Here comes Koogle, with the goo-goo-googly eyes!"
