What's the deal with Albertine disparue?

Which articles or books, in English, detail the editorial challenges, contradictions, and ambiguities posed by the competing versions of Proust's Albertine disparue (The Fugitive/Albertine Gone)?

I would like to learn about the editorial process for all three of the volumes published after Proust's death. Specifically, I would like to understand the differences between the manuscript, the unmarked manuscript, and the typescript—especially the "small, crucial detail" that Wikipedia claims, without any citation, is altered in the typescript for Albertine disparue.

My friend who teaches Proust at NYU answered with this:

My French isn't good enough to understand if it answers your question.
