Can you help me track down this Italian cotton shirting fabric?

Bought a remnant of this fabric at Nancy's Sewing Basket in Seattle, and was told there was no chance of getting more or finding out any information about it (the bolt with the item and vendor numbers had been discarded.) I need more, and AskMefi has found stranger things. Pictures within.

Photos.

It has a white ground with a yarn-dyed pattern of small squares in two different shades of gray, 100% cotton, 60" wide. They had it priced at $22/yard, described only as "Italian cotton shirting." I'd like to find more of the same, but something with a very similar pattern may satisfy.

Online sources I've looked with no luck: Mood, Gorgeous Fabrics, Fabric Mart, Fashion Fabrics Club, Fabric.com, Michael's Fabrics in Baltimore, Emma One Sock, Farmhouse Fabrics, Sawyer Brook. I've emailed Beckenstein Fabrics in New York and enlisted friends with wholesale connections, no response yet on those fronts.

Never fall in love with a remnant.

If it helps you search/decide what's similar, I would call that windowpane plaid, because the grid seems to be made up of single threads of the darker color (which appear to be space-dyed to give the effect of boxes moreso than plaid).
