Please help me fix my Facebook as it has decided to stop working.

So, I'm using Google Chrome and my Facebook has suddenly decided not to work. I've tried clearing my browser history with emptying the cache and cookies (that terminology is a bit beyond me). But it still won't work. It looks like the words below, but in a blue font on a white screen. I've tried it on Internet Explorer and it works fine (Changing internet browsers is not an answer I'm willing to consider here). Can someone help me fix it please.

I had this happen.

Facebook's changed something and AdBlock Plus is throwing all its toys out of its pram because of it.

You can either disable AdBlock Plus on Facebook (which means you get all the annoying ads), or you can switch to AdBlock, which is currently working fine with it.

I think it's AdBlock Plus - I had it happen at work, and I can't remember which AdBlock I have on there.

Chrome isn't seeing/loading Facebook's CSS files. You're getting unformatted pages.
I'm not a Chrome user, so I can't say where to look, but something in Chrome is blocking the CSS from loading.

Adblock is the most likely culprit. If that isn't it, disable all extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the offending extension.

Response by poster: Ah, I have installed Ghostery, could that have anything to do with it?

Uninstall it and find out.

Disable Ghostery. This is a very good candidate for this sort of stylesheet-eating.

Response by poster: Thorzdad, what is a CSS file?

I tried disable Ghostery and it still wouldn't work. I have since tried it in an incognito window and it works fine, which is weird.

Best answer: So that means you need to clear the browser cache (clearing "Cached images and files" will do it), and then it should work fine in a non-Incgonito window, too.
