Staying downtown near Atwater metro. 25 year old woman

I'm female 25. Looking for ideas on what to do and where to eat. Preferably some place where I won't stick out just for being alone. Bonus: I am vegetarian. I love live music (folk / pop / singersongwriter). I've been to the art galleries,The oratoire, the bio dome and the old port already. I speak French and am staying near Atwater metro.

I suggest you pose the question to reddit's /r/montreal where you'll find many more participants local to the city.

However, maybe:

BluesReel
L'Escalier, 552 Ste-Catherine est
Patrick Hutchinson & John Kerkhoven
18h to 20h

I don't know the duo, but Patrick's a good musician in the categories you name, and l'Escalier has vegetarian food, too, or did when I last went there.

My vegetarian listing might come in handy, too.

The Greenbank Trio is at Brutopia tonight. It is right next door to Hurley's, where the Swindlers are playing. You can hang out at the bar at both places, they aren't pick up joints and the bar staff and clientele are friendly. Both places have veggie options on the menu. The beer is a bit pricey, but the music is free! Take the orange line to Lucien L'allier and walk up the hill. Disclaimer: I used to work at Hurley's years ago.
