How do you hook up this Comcast cable box?

Had the Comcast basic cable service. Saw a deal for HBO for just an extra $10 a month for a year. Ordered. Had to get a new Set Top Box in order to display HBO. The box included instructions for setup, they looked simple. Except the instruction diagrams didn't match the box that was sent.

Tried to hook it up myself. Seemingly worked, but when I logged into the Comcast website to activate the box, it didn't really work. All I got was the blue menu that displays channel info at the bottom of the screen, but no picture. I could change channels via the Comcast supplied remote, but none produced picture or sound. This only happened when the tv was set to channel 4. When the tv is set to channel 3, the tv display is mostly grey static, with the static sound. Tried calling tech support. They weren't helpful, they tried to reboot or activate box. Didn't work. They recommended taking it back to a cable center for a technician to look at.

On the off chance that I am hooking up the box wrong, can you look at the back of the box and tell me:

1. Where the coaxial cable from the wall should plug into?
2. Where the coaxial cable that connects from the box to the tv should go?

Here is a photo of the back of the box.

1. Wall to Box goes to "CABLE IN"
2. Box to TV goes to "TO TV/VCR"

Best answer: Did they give you a short (like four inches) jumper coax cable? You might also need to connect the "To RF In" and "RF In" plugs. I know I had to do that with a previous Comcast box.

Response by poster: Yes, four inch coax cable was in box. There were no instructions about hooking that up. Where does it go?

Best answer: It's a jumper that goes from the "TO RF IN" plug to the "RF IN" plug.

Response by poster: Hooking up the jumper cable (which wasn't in the instructions) did the trick. Thank you all.
