Have I imagined this thing in Hotline Miami?

I replayed Hotline Miami when it came out for Linux, and noticed something missing--but it's such a tiny detail, I'm not certain it was really in the game to begin with.

I believe it was the end of chapter 4 or 6? It's the second time that you get an interlude in a dive bar, and this time the bar clearly had a fight in it beforehand, or else Jacket is imagining all of that blood. The bartender offers a drink--"I know just the thing you need," something like that--Jacket drains it, the screen fades to black and--

What I remember happening was getting kicked back out to the main menu. I think the game's logo had changed. I was kind of confused, but decided it wasn't a glitch because I picked Continue and was brought immediately to the next chapter.

I thought it was a neat little atmospheric trick. But it didn't happen when I played the Linux port. I may have even tried playing on Windows again, getting up to that point just to see if that one little bit was there, but if so, I don't think I got to it. Something came up.

So... is this a real thing? Perhaps it's something that only happens if you play from a clean save? Perhaps it was patched out?

Not in the Playstation 3 one either but I'll grill Mr. Moonlight when he gets home just to make sure.

Quizzed Mr. Moonlight and he says he doesn't remember, but he also says the game was glitchy at the beginning, so maybe that's what happened...?
