Worms?!

What are these tiny worms I found? Are they dangerous? And how to I get rid of them?
I found these on (and in) a bathroom sponge, in the bathroom. They are perhaps a few milliliters long and dark-ish in colour with a tiny black head. They were crawling all over the sponge and around the area (bath tub).

They are probably larvae for some kind of critter that likes to lay its eggs in moist environments.
Throw away the sponge. Try to keep your bathroom (and the things in it) dry and aerated as much as possible, and don't leave anything sitting around wet.
