E-reader app for ipad (ios 5.1.1) that can manage DRM?

So, a patron at my library wants to read our e-books on his old ipad. The ipad can only be uppgraded to ios 5.1.1 because it's from the first generation. The app we usually recommend (bluefire reader, I´m in Sweden so no overdrive-model here) requires ios 6.0. The app must be able to manage epub with DRM. Does anyone know if such an app exists?

Have you tried installing Bluefire? Apple now supports installing the latest compatible version so it should work just fine. Or is there something wrong with the older version of Bluefire?

Best answer: I assume you are talking about Adobe eBook DRM, right? If so, Adobe has a list of devices and software that support their eBook DRM. About a dozen iOS applications are on the list, several of which claim to support iOS 5. I'd suggest trying DL Reader; since it's free, it will cost nothing to try.

Wikipedia comparison tables, includes a DRM column.
