Los Angeles, Hollywood Forever, Dia de los Muertos: walkup tickets?

Any know based on previous years whether the Dia de los Muertos event at Hollywood Forever cemetery in Los Angeles is likely to have available walk-up ticket sales during the evening? Or, do they typically sell out? (All their official communications channels appear to be swamped, and I don't know anyone who's been there late in the day.)

Best answer: It's more like a carnival and less like a concert, as far as tickets are concerned... You just buy a ticket at the gate in order to enter. It doesn't sell out; there's not a finite number of tickets. I've had a lot of fun there late in the day/evening in years past. We've never bought tickets in advance. You just have to wait in line with everyone else to get in.

Have fun!

Best answer: I just showed up last year around 9 pm and got in no problem. I would recommend eating before you go in because it was super crowded and the food lines were ridiculously long. The Mexican restaurant on the other side of Santa Monica at Gower is pretty tasty.
