Which Halloween costumes could make use of purple hair?

I need a Halloween costume for this weekend. I also have purple hair. Is there anything I can dress up as that would capitalize on this?

The hair is shoulder length (I will cut/style it for the right costume) and bright purple, like Psylocke from X-Men or HitGirl from KickAss. Neither of these are appropriate costumes, though (too slutty and too young).

I'm looking for costumes that are not skimpy and that I could put together in basically a day. I am very crafty and can do a lot with hair and makeup and have a sewing machine and general craft supplies. Thanks!

Gertrude Yorkes. Yeah, she's young, but no matter. Not slutty, and you can get extremely creative with your dinosaur buddy. It makes my week every time I've seen a Gertrude.

you could definitely be stormer from the fictional band the misfits from the awesome cartoon jem and the holograms. just pump that hair up, do the markings on your face, wear badass clothes and makeup and if you can find one, an inflatable keytar. though keytar not necessary, in my opinion.

Dame Edna's hair definitely veered into bright purple territory once in a while.

Normally I'd just use favorites to avoid cluttering up the thread but it's worth repeating:

Mrs. Slocombe from "Are You Being Served?" the 1970s/80s British comedy. Her hair color varied quite a bit, and I think she looks great in purple. Mrs. Slocombe is the mistress of the double entendre. (7:17 YTL, maybe NSFW but nothing explicit)

Just chiming in to say that Stormer from Jem and the Holograms (kerning's suggestion) actually has blue hair. The only character from Jem with purple hair is Shana, which may (or may not) pose some other issues if you want to be recognizable. :)

(I am so sad I know this.)

PhoBWan beat me to it, but yeah, just get a shoulder bag, put a star on it, and bam, you're done. Sledgehammer and/or rollerblades optional.

Thirding Ramona Flowers. Also, you could go as Kate Winslet's character, Clementine, from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Inside-out Popple.

I once had a couple of Popples, the kind that looked like spherical furballs with a limbs. One was pink with purple hair, but I can only find a photo of a green one with pink tufts (flipped inside out).
