I read Robot Johnny every day, but he doesn't update often enough.

Also
BoingBoing,
Meta*,
The Daily WTF,
The Old New Thing
The Adventures of Accordion Guy In The 21st Centruy
WWDN
numerous comics
The National Geographic Picture of the Day

And, of course, your source for all Capn related news, espeRANTo

If your main intention is to visit sites that other people visit, that's pretty much what del.icio.us is.

Other than the MetaFilter network, I read Slashdot, Dilbert, the railroad.net forums (I'm a train geek, what can I say), The Asylum forums, and a more-than-healthy dose of Google News. I also read some of the stuff at Salon when I see something interesting on the RSS feed (usually at least one thing every day M-F) and I'll poke around the AP wire stuff sometimes, too.

The amount of sites I visit each day has tumbled to.. only those which don't have RSS feeds. If you count RSS feeds, then a few hundred, mostly blogs. What's the point of visiting pages if they haven't been updated? God bless RSS.

Bah! You guys have too much time on your hands. I need my gossip and I need it in quick 5 minute sound bites.

Gawker
Defamer

And maybe every other day:

The Morning News
Alterslash (a readable Slashdot)
Metacritic

The only refresher standbys:

CNN
ESPN

Hey not everything can be cool and independent.

I visit these sites daily:
Slashdot
Slickdeals
CNN
Del.icio.us
MozillaZine Official Firefox Builds Forum
Mess.be
Along with Ask MetaFilter, a couple torrent sites, and my school's online grades site.

A couple sites (mostly blogs) I read usually every other day or so:
Google Blog
LifeHacker
43 Folders
Lifehack.org
Hot Points
Ctrl+Alt+Del

I'm thinking of starting to syndicate these with RSS so I can add more sites without the bother of going to them all.

A couple of years ago I visited a whole bunch of blogs daily, but I got bogged down and bored with them and just couldn't be bothered any more. So here's what I always read online daily:

The Irish Times
BBC News (several times a day)
My del.icio.us inbox
Bronx Banter
Ask Metafilter, and sometimes the other pages too
Third World View
Salon.com
Torontoist and the Toronto Sun and other Toronto stuff, recently.

And that's about it for daily, although I visit sites like Curbed, Slugger O'Toole, Unfogged and some Irish weblogs several times a week.

PhD comics (sometimes more general, but mostly grad school specific, so, hm.)
