Something like Audiosurf for OS X?

Is there a game like Audiosurf for OS X that doesn't involve shooting stuff?

I like Audiosurf. It has never been available for OS X. All the similar games I have found involve shooting a ton of stuff which I find distracting and un-relaxing. Audiosurf is peaceful.

Bonus points if it can integrate a Spotify account and use those tracks. Is that even possible?

These are my requirements, basically:

- For OS X.
- Lets me use my own music. I am not interested in anything else.
- Does not involve shooting things.
- Spotify support would be nice if such a thing exists.

Response by poster: For anyone else wondering, MusicRacer is very similar to AudioSurf and might fit the needs of people interested in this sort of thing. Doesn't have Spotify support.

Unfortunately, when you collect one of the... things, I dunno what to call them, it makes a horrid clanging sound, and since the point of the game is to collect those things, the song is pretty much ruined by a clang every second or more. There's no way I've found to change this or even reduce its volume in the game's settings, so I'm still looking.

Also, I wasn't terribly impressed with how it generates the levels. The layout of the things sort of corresponded to the beat or something. Hard to explain, but with AudioSurf it didn't feel like a specific song's level could be any other song's level. In MusicRacer though, the level doesn't feel like it has much to do with the song.

If you're willing to struggle with it a bit, you might be able to get Audiosurf running on OS X by using Wine or something like WineBottler.

Response by poster: I actually have tried that before. I got some version that would run on Mac, but it was a total disaster. The controls were extremely slow and the program ran very slowly too.

I saw the kickstarter of AudioVenture right before it ended, but didn't get in on it. Now, it seems to involve shooting stars scattered around the track in at least one gameplay mode, but well, stars not people or ships ("All game modes, sub racing, will feature the ability to shoot a projectile from your ship in order to collect from a distance.") Anyway, it is in Alpha right now, so who knows how good it will be when it is finished or if it will get finished. It seems to be in a state of heavy flux based on the vids he has posted, but hey, it is an option. I'm going to wait a few versions and see what it looks like before buying.

Also I'm Canageek on Audiosurf if anyone wants to add me as a friend. >.>

Audiosurf 2 is coming out next month, and it's written in Unity, which has native OSX support. It may not be available for OSX immediately, but it's more likely than the previous version which was written in an engine with no OSX support.

There is also frequency domain, which is interesting, but not really a game.
