Online games

My wife and I will be living in different cities for the next 2 months and won't be able to see each other in the meantime. We've been enjoying playing chess through gameknot.com and scrabble through lexulous.com. What other online games are available to play that don't require both people to be online at the same time?

Check out YourTurnMyTurn. Lots of online games to play there.

Response by poster: Only online please. I don't have a smartphone or tablet.

For German style games I would try Yucata.de or Boite a jeaux.

My wife and I play jamble (a scrabble-like) at itsyourturn.com. They have free membership for limited play per day or paid for unlimited play. They have several other games as well.

Another possibility is GameTable, which allows asynchronous play of bunches of different games. GameTable has free and for-pay variants.

Vassal is another application that allows play of a vast list of games. It is free and open source.
