Looking for short, high-quality clips of animals for my one-year-old.

My son is getting more and more interested in animals, which is great! On our walks through the neighborhood we see dogs, cats, squirrels, and birds, but as fall approaches outdoor time will begin to be limited. He doesn't get a lot of screen time, so I'd like to make the 5 or 10 minutes a day count. Please suggest cute, funny, interesting, educational clips of animals, between one and three minutes long. Here's an example of what I'm looking for (although the camera work isn't the greatest). Thanks!

The uzoouk channel on YouTube is pretty much exclusively this.

Lots of still photos and a few videos on Zooborns. And here are two adorable videos of baby sloths!!

Response by poster: Sorry, should have specified that I don't really want people in the videos. All five of the clips I watched from the uzoouk link interrupted the animal footage with people talking.

I like wimp.com for short and sweet videos of all types. In a given week, they'll have at least a few adorable animal / pet videos.

When ours was that age, she liked:
Kittens on a slide
Amazon parrot sings Queen of the Night
Skunk falls down the stairs

There's a little incidental human conversation in those, but no footage breaks/voiceovers.

I was about to suggest Dogs 101, but on preview, it does have people talking in it. Ditto this video about having a capybara as a pet. Are you looking for videos that don't have any human voices at all, videos that don't show humans at all, or both?

If talking is OK, check out this video of Kemosabe the talkative porcupine eating a banana (previously). Per the FPP, porcupine facts start around 2'12".

Some other possibilities: Baby hedgehog boat. Foxes jumping on a trampoline. Octopus escape. Boston Terrier dog likes his belly tickled. Tillman the skateboarding bulldog. And there's always Maru.

The Kid Should See This is a blog devoted to neat videos suitable for curious kids. The link here goes to their "animals" category. It may have some talky videos and some non-talky, so you may want to preview, but they consistently find good interesting things.

The Pet Collective's youtube channel is almost exclusively short videos of cute animals doing cute things. There are a handful where people are visible but most are only of animals.

I would not go so far as to say they are educational, though. Unless you are getting a degree in EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I hope this isn't too derail-y but I keep internet videos and pictures (things like this) that I want to share with little llama on a Tumblr with her name on it. I have an 'add to Tumblr' bookmarklet, and it just makes it really easy to keep a running group of things I can share with her when it's a good time.

Just a suggestion if you're looking for a way to organize or compile these.

National Geographic Kids has a great website with high-quality video, pictures, and for later on, information on lots of different animals.

Response by poster: Thanks, everyone! Great suggestions. (We already watch things on The Kid Should See This, yay!) (And a degree in EEEEEEEEEEEEEE made me laugh.)

Also: here is the boy, watching the laptop.
