Chicago Northside Party Space?

Please recommend a party venue (probably a bar backroom) on the north side of Chicago - details inside.

I am looking for a good party spot for a big birthday party in December. The ideal place would be a good size for a crowd of 50-100, would have a stage for a band (can be a small stage), and would *not* have food so I can arrange for outside catering. But if you have a place that has good food, that's ok too. Ideal location is North Center but does not have to be exactly there.

Response by poster: I should have added: I am considering Black Rock and Chief O'Neil's as contenders; main problem is the food thing. But if someone has a good or bad experience there, would love to hear it. Thanks.

The Irish American Heritage Center is in the vicinity you're hoping for (just west of North Center in Irving Park). I have attended a wedding and a large birthday party there -- the rooms were nice and had plenty of space for live music. Looking at their website it seems that you'd need to buy their liquor but you can bring in your own catered food.
