FREE Fantasy Football INFO sites?

I'm playing fantasy football again after several years away. I'm also CHEAP. I'm looking for suggestions on the best sites with FREE INFO/Opinions (NFL or Fantasy), best stats sites, etc.

- - Willing to trade Chad Pennington or Kurt Warner for the info.

As a fantasy junkie, I hit the following sites daily.

Rotoworld is a good place to start, especially for injury updates, roster and depth chart changes, and opinion pieces.

As for stats, go straight to the source, the NFL.

Yahoo's NFL site does an excellent job with stats also.

For opinion, it's all over the place, so start with the big sites, SI, Fox Sports, and CBS Sportsline. ESPN isn't worth the trouble, as much of their fanstasy info requires you to buy their "Insider" package.

To get really in depth, Football Outsiders are the pigskin equivalent of the baseball sabermetric guys. They have an interesting takes on football in general, including stats.

The best site I know of is Fantasy Sports Central. It is a paysite, but after the draft period is over it is free. They have a Weekly Average Cheatsheet which takes 10 of the leading sites (some paysites) and averages their weekly rankings. Perhaps the best feature is the Daily Planner which links to articles and features on other sites throughout the week as they are updates. These links are all free, although there are some glitches.

After a few weeks using the average cheatsheets and reviewing the links to other sites, you'll be able to judge the ones you trust and make the most sense to you. Pigskin Addiction is one of the better ones, as well as Fantasy Sharks, but I try to read as much as I can. Another site I like for News is Football Guys.

I have only watched one football game in my life and am not really sure of the rules of the game, but I have made it to the second round of the playoffs for the last 2 years, and was the leading scorer in my league last year - all from researching on these sites.

Response by poster: I'll add one I am impressed with: The Free FlashUpdates available at http://www.footballdiehards.com/. Bob Harris knows his stuff and he pulls together a LOT of information - much of it gleaned from staffers on the local papers in NFL cities, including stuff you don't see anywhere else (like that Stephen Davis is limping around the clubhouse, meaning he must be having swelling problems with the repaired knee). That kind of early warning stuff is really important.
