How Do I Sell a Watch?

I have a very sell-able and somewhat valuable watch that I would like to sell. I have no idea where to begin, though.

I found this online buyer company: Crown & Caliber. Is this a good avenue to pursue? What are my other options or better options to sell my watch? I'd prefer not to get hosed or have to meet with some random person from craigslist.

I strongly doubt you'll get anywhere near the market value for your piece via a broker/re-seller.

Meticulously research the piece you have, and then advertise it for sale on watch enthusiast forums, including as much data and photographs as you can. If you have interest, then seek feedback about your potential buyer on that forum - most watch forums will have a specific section for this.

eBay is of course an option, but you're much more open to timewasters on there, I find - plus you'll get stung with seller fees and Paypal.

WatchRecon will help you value the watch.

Good luck!
