My sister has three foster children arriving on Monday. I'd like to help her mark the occasion for them in some way.

My sister has three boys -- all siblings, ages 8, 5, and 3 -- coming to live with her and her husband on Monday. The boys are my brother-in-law's nephews. They've lived with my sister before -- they were placed with her for about nine months when they were first removed from their mother's home -- but then were removed from my sister (not because of abuse or neglect, but for other reasons that would be convoluted to explain here and which have more to do with Child Protective Service compliance policies than anything else.) The children have spent the summer at a children's shelter, but my sister has been working to get approved to foster them and has also moved to a better living situation. It has been a rough several months for everyone involved. I don't know what the future holds for these children, but I like them and my sister is happy that they are returning to her. I'd like to help her think of something special and simple she can do to welcome them to their new home, something that might feel magical or memorable to three boys and provide a sense of belonging.
