Network cable label maker reccomendation?

I am in need of a good quality label maker soley for network/power/fiber cable identification in our server rooms and data center.

The majority of labels will be 'self laminating' style, or the ones where I can print the label, stick on, and the remaining portion of the label is clear and it will laminate over it. Not looking for 'flag' type that sticks out due to them snagging when I pull the cable.

Around $350 works for me, maybe a little more. The Dymo Rhino 6000 unit looks good but the reviews are mixed. Any recommendations?

I can't imagine why people don't like the Rhino 6000. I have one here at work and it is hands down the best label printer I've ever used. I've taken mine on a dozen or so overseas trips and in tons of industrial plants, it keeps working. It easy to use and has tons of clever features that are all pretty easy to use.

My only complaint is that the charger for the battery pack only works with US voltages, but you can just take out the battery pack in put in AA's which are available everywhere.

Get the Rhino 6000, don't bother with the 'hard case kit'.

Response by poster: Perfect info! It will only be used in the US, so not worried about the adapter issue.

What type of tape do you use? The standard vinyl or the polyester?

Polyester, also check out the heat shrink stuff.

Response by poster: Just a follow up. Picked up a Rhino 6000. So far the unit has been able to do what I want. However the self laminating labels were underwhelming. If you are labeling anything larger than an ethernet cable, the laminate dosnt wrap around.
