Help Me Repair My Awesome Couch
June 5, 2013 8:44 PM   Subscribe

One of the rubber-band cushion supports broke on my Mid Century Modern couch. I would ideally replace all of the bands, since they are all showing signs of their 50-60 years of use. I was hoping someone would have some magical source for replacement parts.

Also, the couch is badged "France and Davaerkosen," and was made in Denmark.

A hiking shop or a chandlrey would have fabric-covered rubber cord called shock cord or bungee cord. Or you can get it online. It'd be a spool of material, not loops.

The designaddict.com forum is great for mid-century furniture knowledge. Linked is the appropriate thread.

According to the forum the replacement pieces you need are called Expersprings.

A search for pirreli webbing may yield results.
