How to download text of Facebook posts and comments from a fan page

Mefites, can you help me come up with a quick and dirty way to download the text of all the comments and posts from a given Facebook Fan page? I'm trying to do a word cloud visualization of our Facebook presence. Thanks.

wolframalpha.com does something along these lines -- not sure how far back on the page it goes, but.

Response by poster: I appears that this wolframalpha only does it with my personal information. I need it to output the data from a page that I am an admin of.

How quick and dirty are we talking? If you're a developer or have one available, this can be done pretty easily with the Facebook API. Some docs. I believe you'll need an access token to hit the necessary endpoints.

For personal Facebook pages, there is a "download my wall" (or words to that effect) option in the Account area. I use it regularly to download my Facebook page. It downloads as html format but I've been able to convert it to other formats pretty easily.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll be learning how to use the API.

If you have any problems feel free to post here or MeMail me. Haggling with the FB API is a big part of my current job.
