Where can I find Converse's First String 1970s Chuck Tailors in DC?

Recently, Converse put out some "vintage" chucks recently (see here) but they are only available from certain retailers. I'd like to purchase a pair but I have no idea where to find them in Washington, DC. Has anyone seen these around or know of a place in DC that would stock them?

Best answer: Have you tried Major in Georgetown? Their blog seems to indicate that have the 1970s style in snakeskin; you could try calling to see if they have it in more regular colors. They are pretty hip and would at least be able to tell you where else to look (or maybe order you the color/fabric you prefer).

Response by poster: I had totally forgotten about Major. They just listed the exact pair (low-top oxbloods) I wanted on their blog yesterday; I'll drop by tomorrow to pick them up.

Thanks!
