Who threw that ball??

I'm trying to remember the name of a Major League Baseball pitcher who had a particular mannerism while pitching. Help! Baseball fan fail!

Okay, this pitcher would stand at the ready, looking off to the side, and then suddenly snap his head around and glare at the batter for a second before pitching. That's it. Stand, look at the ball, then suddenly SNAP!!!! GLARE!!! INTIMIDATE!!! and pitch.

He played sometime during the 80's or 90's.
I'm pretty sure he was a righty.
Caucasian guy, maybe on the stocky side?
I am pretty sure he played for a National League team. I don't remember ever seeing him play against the Twins - I only would have seen him pitch on highlight reels.

Extra bonus points if you can find a video of him doing this little intimidation move.

Thanks, y'all!

I am going to guess Al "The Mad Hungarian" Hrabosky, but I am having a difficult time finding a video.

Only the motion and the NL matches your description but Sammy Gervacio?

Response by poster: Hmm, not Hrabosky...the fellow I remember was stockier and did not have that delightful facial hair. Also not Sammy Gervacio, but I'd forgotten how much I loved his "Look, I have a baseball!" pitch.

Best answer: Mike Fetters?

Response by poster: YES, I think it's Mike Fetters.

How embarrassing, not only did he play in the AL, he played for the Twins for a season. I'm going to blame my not knowing that on the fact that I didn't live in Minnesota for the first half of the aughts. Still. Bad fan.

And now to try and find a video to verify. I wish MLB wasn't so stingy about old video.

He's half Samoan and half Caucasian, but otherwise sounds like your guy.

Most likely Mike Fetters - he played for the Dodgers for a decent length of time, so as a Padre fan, I saw quite a bit of him, but that was late 90s early 00s.

Mark Grace imitated Mike Fetters on the mound one time, in 2002, when Grace came on to pitch to spare the real pitchers during a blowout.
