Please help me find this Parker ad billboard poster type thing.

Years ago there was a billboard ad for Parker pens I saw in Belgium (I'm guessing/hoping the ad was international though). The poster was a white background with a black man in a suit holding a saxophone or a trumpet (it kind of dangled from his hand a bit behind his body). I'd love to find some version of that poster I can blow up and have printed.

If you can't answer this question you may also point me to some other cool similar pictures I could blow up and have printed. :)

Or would it be an idea to ask Parker?

Was it Charlie Parker, by any chance? He plays the sax. Might be easier to search for it if it is him.

I may be most qualified to answer -- my dad is a semi-pal of an heir to the Parker fortune. ;-) The company was sold away from my hometown years ago, though. They are very cognizant of their history, cater to collectors, and it's not outside reason that they have something in their archives about a Belgian ad campaign involving a saxophonist.

It's possible that it was in more than just Belgium, but Parker infamously took a bath when it implemented one of the earliest global branding/marketing strategies (unrelated is this unproven urban legend). That had all fallen by the wayside more than "years ago". I'm guessing this was no earlier than 1980; in 1983 they initiated a "premier" line, which could apply.

That said, there are plenty of Parker collectors out there -- worth a shot.
