Best luxury hotels in Fort Worth, Texas?

Best luxury hotels in Fort Worth, Texas? The title says it all - I'm looking for someplace amazing to stay for one or two nights in Fort Worth, TX. My gentleman is looking forward to a concert that's happening there and I'd like to surprise him with a killer package at a luxury hotel the weekend of the show. Bonus points if the hotel is funky and non-chain (a la Hotel San Jose or Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin), although I'd do a chain if it was absolutely top-notch.

I know some good hotels in Dallas, so I'd prefer Fort Worth only, since we'll be, uh, consuming adult beverages aplenty at the show. Thanks!

I don't know what the rooms are like, but the Stockyards Hotel lobby is pretty freakin awesome.

Fort Worth is pretty big. If you're looking to walk home, then it might be a challenge. In Fort Worth, I've stayed at the Worthington, the Ashton and the Omni. All are nice enough but very corporate. Of those three, the Ashton has far more character but its not really luxe.

If I was going to stay in Fort Worth and wanted it to be special I'd take a risk and go with: the Hattie May Inn or the Texas White House. I've not stayed at either, but at least they won't be chain hotels.

A friend in Ft. Worth suggests the Ashton Hotel and the Hattie May Inn mentioned above.
