Iam turning Mid 20's and for the event SO is coming over. The collective decision is that we should travel somewhere/roadtrip to celebrate. Question is where.. hive mind help me decide. Philadelphia area and destinations within 6 hours drive Timeline April 12th-15th.

If you like older buildings, Providence and Newport are with 6 hours. You should be able to walk along the Bay (blustery in April, but ok, look at Colonial and Gilded Age mansions, eat some good food, and lay low at a B&B somewhere.

Best answer: Old Montreal. Seven hours drive, get your AirBNB on, eat the best poutine and smoked meat in the world.

Looks like you live in central jersey... as a Philly girl, I say go to Philly, stay at a cheap hotel on the edge of the city, and spend your money barhopping. Depends on what your idea of fun is, though.

Best answer: If you're doing the Philly thing, the Alexander Inn is a cool, clean, cheap spot in Philly that I enjoyed. In a hip area, 'the gayborhood,' it's worth looking into.

Otherwise, how about:
-funky, arty Providence, RI?
-quaint Stowe, VT on the tail-end of ski season / start of the hiking season?
-Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME for a long weekend loop?
-relaxing western CT, Philip Roth country?
-Cape Cod, generally?
-Niagara Falls?
-Or pts south?
