LA Carwash

What's the best car wash in LA? In a perfect world, it'd be within 2 miles East of West of the Sepulveda corridor -- between Sherman Oaks and Culver City. I've tried the Handy J, which some internet sites recommend, but they are inconsistent.

Hmmm, not sure I can help you in that area, but my full-proof, never-fail, always-perfect car wash is this place on Melrose, a block or two west of Urban Outfitters on the other side of the street. It looks random -- just a converted parking lot, small with a couple of tents for washing, but it's 10 bucks a wash and they do a bang-up job efficiently and never try to upsell me. And the people-watching is pretty good, too.

I used to go to one on the corner of Libbit and Ventura, one blk E of Balboa. They did a fine job and they used to have an early bird special if I'm not mistaken. Coupons also abound.

I always used the Tujunga carwash at Burbank and Tujunga (Lankershim crosses there too) in North Hollywood, but that might be too far east for you.
